Saturday Word of the Day: Maw

*Maw- the mouth, throat, or gullet of an animal, especially a carnivorous mammal.

“Drip, drip, drip” red oozed from between the white mounds.

A voracious hunger that could not be sated surged through the nervous system. A inaudible creaking and the terrain was no longer visibly red.

Suddenly something in the distance moved and everything began zooming past until once more the maw was rapped around the nape of a neck and the white was snapping and crushing.
