Saturday Word of the Day: Dysphemism

*Dysphemism:  the substitution of a harsh expression for a more neutral one

Writing a story just after deadline and hoping nobody notices is no simple task. Saturday was a-  well I was going to say terrible but let me practice dysphemism here and instead say it was simply an unpleasant day.

I spent my time recovering from a hangover and hoping desperately that I would feel better before I had to work. It was, and I’m going to use dysphemism once more, a long day.
