*Stalwart: firm, steadfast or uncompromising
Some would call Sir Emerick loyal, but Prince Leander preferred to call him stalwart. Reason being that Sir Emerick didn’t just follow any order, he followed directions to completion word for word. He wouldn’t let the slightest break of a rule go unpunished, he was excessively driven to do his job.
Most days Prince Leander found himself commanding the stalwart knight to stand down, or giving him a lengthy task with immense detail. It was all rather tiresome, but still the King loved Sir Emerick’s stalwart nature and so Prince Leander had to grin and bear it.
